Permanent or temporary hymen repair operations can be performed in case of virginity loss. Temporary repair of hymen is suturing of hymen 1-7 days before sexual intercourse or marriage.
Temporary hymen repair can be performed one day or 7 days before sexual intercourse. Temporary hymen repair is also known as ‘short-term repair’, or ‘temporary virginity repair’ . It is usually performed in one week before sexual intercourse.
Permanent hymen repair is long-term suturing of hymen, it does not damage even for years. However, temporary hymen repair is recommended to women who are going to marry in a short time.
Temporary repair of hymen is suturing of hymen within 1-7 days before sexual intercourse or marriage. It’s not recommended earlier than 7 days before. Otherwise, temporary sutures will spontaneously dissolve. For this reason, the procedure is usually performed 3 or 5 days before the intercourse. However, there is no obstacle to having the procedure 7 days before.
Permanent hymen repair operations are recommended for those who have one month or more for marrying. Permanent hymen repair can be made at any time as independent from the wedding date. There will be no re-opening.
Temporary hymen repair is made by making hidden stitches on the posterior of hymenal remnant tissue (‘purse string’ method). In other words, vaginal entrance is shrunk like a plastic bag. Thus, bleeding occurs in the first sexual experience.
Special threads are used in temporary hymen repair and entrance is narrowed by tightening stitches. In this way, bleeding is provided in the first sexual intercourse. In other words, it is aimed to create bleeding ‘imitating the first night’. Bleeding and pain sometimes is a bit less or sometimes more.
For definite success in temporary repair, hymen repair should be made by an experienced gynecologist between 1 and 7 days before the sexual intercourse.
It can never be noticed with gynecological examination one month after intercourse.
A few days after the operation, mild bleeding may occur in the form of staining. If mild tingling pain occurs in the first day, simple painkillers can be received.
Some capsules placed into vagina are marketed on the internet under the name of ‘artificial hymen’. However, it is not healthy. It can be noticed at a high rate.
If hymen repair is made by appropriate surgical techniques and experienced gynecologist surgeons, the success chance is quite high and the postoperative risks are also very low.
Prices, costs and pricing conditions in temporary hymen repair vary depending on the gynecologist, clinic, operation type and anesthesia method. Operations last very short and quite painless. For this reason, local anesthesia is mostly enough. However, anesthesia cost affects pricing if general anesthesia is preferred. You can consult your gynecologist.
