Female Sexual Dysfunctions

Female Sexual Dysfunctions

Sexual dysfunction is a failure of complete sexual intercourse due to sexual and physical problems in women or men. Many women who have problems about having sex at the first night ask this question themselves ‘why can’t I have sexual intercourse?’. Sexual dysfunction reasons are divided into two as psychological reasons (90%) and physical or organic reasons (10%). The most prominent psychological reasons for sexual dysfunction is ‘vaginismus’ problem. Vaginismus is also known as ‘first night fear of women’ or ‘incomplete marriage’ or ‘unconsummated marriage’. It is a postponing and avoidance disease.

Reasons for sexual dysfunction:

1. Sexual dysfunction with psychological reasons

The most important psychological reason is vaginismus. While the foreplay and pleasure part are normal until sexual penetration, involuntary contraction occurs in vaginal entry during the sexual penetration. In this case, sexual penetration does not occur or partially occurs. Depending on its severity, common contractions occur in hips, legs, abdomen and even in whole body besides the vaginal muscles. Then, the woman pushes her partner with her hands and feet in fear and pulls herself back with a sudden movement. Crying crises, sadness and chronic unhappiness…

Over the time, the problem gets more complicated. Because vaginismus does not heal spontaneously by waiting, unfortunately, it gets worse. If not treated, it may cause marital problems that lead to divorce.

Although vaginismus is a very troublesome and self-esteem devastating problem, it is now possible to be successfully treated. A complete and permanent solution is possible with the scientific vaginismus treatment methods applied by us for 3-5 days.

2. Sexual dysfunction with physiological reasons

Hymen problems; the thick, crescent or septated forms of hymen may cause sexual dysfunction with physiological problems. Vaginal problems and the existence of a division in the vagina are the reasons of sexual dysfunction. Sometimes absence, shortness or narrowness of vagina canal and space occupying masses in the vaginal entrance (Bartholin cysts, myomas, and tumors) may cause problems. In these cases, the problem is eliminated by surgical operations targeted for the reason.

3. Pain during sexual intercourse (Dyspareunia)

There are many reasons for feeling pain in sexual intercourse. The most common reasons are vaginal infections and ‘Vulvar Vestibulitis Syndrome’ within localized vulvodynia (regional vulva pain). Chronic itching on the vulva (outer genital area) or vagina entrance or some dermatological diseases causing thinning on the skin cause painful sexual intercourse. In any case, treatment is possible for these problems.

4. Lack of information or misinformation about sexuality

No matter how high the level of education is, the inaccurate information about the hymen, vagina and female anatomy in men or women is the reason for sexual dysfunction. First of all, this wrong information needs to be corrected.

5. Severe sexual desire loss

Sexual desire loss may be persistent or may occur over time. It is also known as ‘sexual frigidity’ or ‘frigidity’ among the people. In the male-type sexual desire loss; erosion problems, fear of convergence and even sexual disgust can be seen among the reasons. Treatment is sexual therapy and successful results can be achieved with behavioral therapies targeted for the reason.

6. Problems relatimg to the male partner

Premature ejaculation, sexual desire loss and erection problems in male partners may also cause problems in sexual intercourse between couples. Organic causes and psychological factors also play a role in such sexual problems.
